What’s Cookin’ Good Lookin’: Laverne’s Cream Cheese Pecan Pie


Laverne’s Cream Cheese Pecan Pie Recipe was given to us by Laverne F. in our Second Annual What’s Cookin’, Good Lookin’ Recipe Contest.

What's Cookin', Good Lookin'?For the filling you will need:

8 oz cream cheese

1 egg

1 cup of sugar

1 tablespoon of flour

1/2 teaspoon of lemon flavor and vanilla flavor

Pinch of salt

For the topping you will need:

Two eggs

1 cup of sugar

1 cup white Karo syrup

1/2 teaspoon lemon flavor and vanilla flavor,

3/4 cup of half pecan pieces.

Start by blending all filling ingredients together and fold into an 8 inch pie shell. Sprinkle pecan pieces over mixture.

Blend all topping ingredients except pecans. Place blended mixture over filing and decorate with pecans on top.

Place on cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees until middle is firmed when pricked with a toothpick. (Topping maybe enough for two pies.)
