You are all crazy..How in the world can a person get a loan from these places at almost 300 percent interest,,,I hope my son has learned his lesson from this place , and no longer gets a loan from a place like this, read your contracts before u sign anything..your paying them back more money than u would have had in the long run..

Hi angelblue1959,

Assuming that your son took out a payday loan, we are required by law to post the ANNUAL percentage rate, even though it’s a meaningless measurement, since payday loans are short-term loans that are typically only borrowed until the next payday (2 – 4 week period).

A more meaningful way to look at interest is the actual dollars charged, which varies by state, but is often between $15 and $25 per $100 borrowed.  Payday loans are not meant to be a long-term financial solution, but are legitimate and responsible tools to managing immediate/emergency expenses. We also agree that it’s important that everyone reads any contracts carefully before signing them.

Thanks for taking the time to write.  I hope this clears up any confusion!

Smileyour paying 25 for every hundred and interest which isn't that much if you pay twice a month, take a look at the interest store credit cards charge and fees that banks charge.  this maybe a little more but for those of us who can't get bank loans this helps when the bills are due.  I think your son borrowed more than he could pay back.  Just because they give you a 900 credit line doesn't mean you have to barrow that much I barrow 100 at a time and pay it back in two payments a month (50 + 12.50) this way there's little to no interest.

I am very happy with my loan and the customer service at CashnetUSA. Applying for this loan was easy and the payments are affordable. I would recommend them to anyone that is in need of some emergency cash. Yes, the interest is high but it's affordable and instead of paying just the interest every couple of week you are able to pay off your loan in payments. So much cheaper that any other company I had ever gone through. Also, this company is the real deal not like other companies that I went through and are still dealing with. If you go through another company watch out for their scams. I have taken out 4 payday loans and paid them all in full now I am being harassed and being sent to collection for loans that are already paid off. Very Stressful!!! Thank You CashnetUSA for being a great company

Hello, This July of 2012 marks my three year anniversary as your customer. I can honestly say that the funds you've made available for me have been an invaluable help to me. Of course, the first loan was the most memorable for me. On that summer day, I was hit by my local power company with backcharges to my bill. I was trembling with fear and worry when facing the contractor who was dispatched to disconnect my power. My first thought was that it's a hot July summer day and my cats would suffer. Also, I had no funds whatsoever to put up to even get my power restored anytime soon. However, through the good grace of the contractor and much pleading, he accepted a check from me and said it wouldn't clear for several days. It bought me some time, but I had to scramble finding a way to put $700 into my bank account. After a short web search, I called CashnetUSA. At first, I was only approved for a $300 loan which was not satisfactory. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who listened to my story, also to the fact that I had another source of fixed income that I couldn't list on the online application. She instantly approved my request for a $700 loan. What a relief!!!. The money was deposited next morning into my account, keeping me above water in avoiding any insuffecient fund charges as well as fulfilling my outstanding debt I owed the power company. Since that memorable day, I've taken advantage of your credit to help me out with vet bills and of course, the obligatory auto failure. Thank you CashnetUSA, you've really helped out a person in need.

So does that mean you are a so called "preferred member"? I use to be and I had a discount code and thought Cashnet was great. Suddenly that discount code doesn't apply, no one really explains much, most emails go unanswered. The only consistent answer I get is they changed the program. Nothing to explain why the loan fees suddenly TRIPLED!!!! So if you are a preferred member, could you please explain that to me since no one in customer service will?

Hi frnkie,
Thanks for being a valued Preferred Member! I just checked your account based on the email address you submitted, and I can assure you that you are still a Platinum Member. If you use a promo code other than your Preferred Member code when you apply, then you will not be able to use your Preferred Member code. Additionally, for our installment loans, promo codes are applied as a "rebate" off your first two installment payments and paid out to you after the loan is paid off.
In regards to your question about larger loan fees: Lending laws and regulations have changed in your state of Wisconsin. Please check out our Wisconsin Rates and Terms page here. You can find Rates and Terms for all states we service here. I hope this answered your question. Please let us know if you have additional questions by calling us at 888.801.9075 or chatting with us live. We're available 24/7 for your convenience!

I tried to use my promo code. Nothing happened. Interest rate skyrocketed. Tired no promo code, same interest rate. Tried new promo code emailed to me. Nothing happened, same interest. Tried to customer service, thinking website was not working correctly. Told that my preferred member promo code was for payday loans, not installment loans (was told this by several different reps). Also told that the promo code was now a rebate, but could not be given a more definite explanation other than "rebate". Which still does not explain the skyrocketing loan fees! Also, no one could explain when the changes were made or why they were not more clearly detailed. My understanding was that the lending laws changed long before which was why I had an "installment loan" rather than a "payday loan". I could be mistaken, but no one was willing or able to explain this to me other than a generic statement without any details.

Also, please stop telling people to use the online chat. Every person I talk to says they are not able to discuss my loan because I have an installment loan and they can only discuss payday loans.

After several attempts to straighten this out, no one was willing. You're attempts are too little, too late. I am done with CashNet, other than warn people of my experience. And as you can see, I HAD been a customer for several years. You've have gotten enough of my fees, move on to the next sucker.

And also, per your explanation the fees did then go up significantly for "preferred members" if the "rebate" only covers the first two installments, rather than the life of the loan as before. I do not feel very preferred. A rebate also means you collect more interest. Just like my prepayments are not applied to principal, so more interest can be charged. An NSF would have been cheaper. Heck, ten NSFs would have been cheaper.

Most recent Previous Loan (April 2012)-yes I realize there is a $100 difference in financed amount, but there is a $330 jump in finance charge, I do not believe your "rebate" will put much of a dent in that.

Your customer service responses contradict each other over and over, and again here. Here is an example of the many conflicting responses received:

"In response to your email, I'm sorry to inform you. You can't apply the discount code on the installment loan. The installment loan is only offered per your state.

Thank you for choosing CashNetUSA, America's trusted online lender."

Can you explain that?

I simply do not know how to get the attention of the so-called "customer service" at this place.  I tried for a week to pay off my loan unsuccessfully.  The online payment system didn't work.  Finally got what I thought was a person who promised me that a payment would be processed that same day.  It wasn't–more ridiculous interest.  A payment FINALLY went through after a week.  Not sure which of my many attempts actually succeeded but guess what–more interest was tacked on and the full amount is still not paid.  Emails un-answered, frustration with customer service people who give you the run-around and you get charged for each minute your loan sits there outstanding.  I've asked for a credit for the ineffective systems but surprise surprise, not even an answer to an email.  Steer a wide berth around these people.  Time to complain to every regulatory agency in existance.

Just wanted to say what a godsend cashnetusa has been for me…..everything always seems to happen at one time….first my son-in-law got stopped for speeding in my truck and my truck's license plates were expired…we were totally unaware as I had never received a notice…..so they towed my truck away… I had to come up with the cash for the plates and to get my truck from the towing co…at the same time I received the largest electric bill I had "ever" received and my home insurance co. wanted a huge amount for insurance renewal downpayment and as I was on their payment plan, this hit me hard…….Of course this led to a shortage of funds where I was not able to pay my bills…….this is my 3rd loan and I am on the pathway to be totally caught up by late December…. so I don't mind the fees as the peace of mind to be able to pay all my bills is well worth it……thank you so much…..Juanita

You have to realize these kinds of loans are for people who cannot get a loan

because of bad credit or other reasons and have no choice. it can be a matter of going default on a bill

or overdrawn on a bank account which can be just as much in penalties or more than these loan fees,

take advantage of promo codes ,pay them off the first time. No disrespect to cash net usa but

don't ever extend your loan , while you may think oh cool, for a 500 dollar loan even with a 25 percent promo code ,youll pay the 96 bucks which is the cab plus interest in my state and then 2 weeks later you will pay the 500 bucks plus 125 which is what you would pay normally without a promo code since your extending the loan as if its a new non discounted loan. so you end up paying 721 dollars for a 500 dollar loan, that's for one month . 221 dollars in fees – that is ridiculous. So if you cant pay it off on the next due date then you shouldnt get the loan. like the site says these are short terms loans, if you extend you are really hurting yourself more in the long run and a lot of people get into worse debt and legal problems.  My advice , while it's nice occasionally to have that in between paychecks money ,dont make it a habit. Get a better job and manage your money and only use payday loans as a last resort and use promo codes – dont ever pay full fees. good luck to everyone .

I'm really glad you think the payments are affordable. They're telling me that the fees and interest are different than when I applied, and want to take almost 24% of my paycheck.Does this sound affordable to you? I am on hold now trying to find out if the CSR was right., that a ONE TIME FEE is charged every month.
