All American Money Saving Tips from CashNetUSA

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010
As your CashNetUSA family heads into the Labor Day weekend, we have a “pot luck” of money saving tips to give you. Some of you may be staying home to relax, or taking the family on a road trip.  Either way, these tips will work out well for you this, and every other, weekend!
Restaurants – As in most cases, the Internet is your best friend.  Search the Internet for free coupons or discounted gift certificates.  Check out www.restaurant.com or www.valpak.com.
The Movies – Most local movie theaters have special pricing Monday through Thursday.  Save some money by catching a movie during these “off-peak” nights.  Same movie, less money!
Travel – Your CashNetUSA teammates had a lot of travel tips, so stay with us!  Book flights online during Tuesdays or Wednesdays when prices are historically the cheapest.  As the weekend rush is over, and managers want to fill rooms, book your hotel stay on a Sunday night.  Last but not least, travel with another family or group to get discount rates on flights, hotels, and transportation.
The Beach – Most of us will be hitting the beach for the last time this weekend, but you can still save money.  Remember to stock up on food and drink before leaving.  This way you will not be paying outrageous prices at the beach
Gas – AAA suggests fueling up mid week when gas is cheaper. Also, if you are traveling, ask your hotel if they are offering gas rebates at the front desk.
From money saving tips, to fast cash with online, short-term payday loans, your CashNetUSA family is here to help.  Kick back, relax, and enjoy your Labor Day Weekend while saving some money.

Free Advice, Free Money From CashNetUSA

Monday, August 30th, 2010
Free.  It is such a great word.  Your CashNetUSA family loves that word as much as you do because it means saving money.  We wanted to remind you how great this word can be when it is combined with everyday savings.  We asked some of our CashNetUSA teammates for suggestions.  Some even surprised us!  We just hope you have enough “free” time to read them all.
Cell Phone – Most national carriers will give you a free phone (sometimes a free smartphone) when you sign up for a two-year contract.  Ask around at your local carrier store, they will be able to point you in the direction of a free cell phone.
Books – You never should have to pay for a book.  Ever.  Remember checking out a book at the school library when you were young?  Believe it or not, there are bigger public libraries not to far from you.  Check out a book for free, and just remember to return it, or your free book will turn into a “fee” book.
Water – Yes, we know everyone has a monthly water bill, but do you really have to pay so much for bottled water? You can save countless amounts of money by having your own water bottle! Buy yourself a reusable aluminum water bottle and refill it from the tap.
The News – If you are reading this blog post, you are on the Internet.  If you are on the Internet, you have access to thousands of news sites, locally and around the world.  So what are you doing paying for a newspaper?  Cancel your delivery paper, and visit its online site.  It’s the same news, but you do not have to wait for it with your morning coffee!
Shipping – Here is another part of your life that the Internet can help you out with more Free.  If you love to buy online like many of your CashNetUSA family members, you should never have to pay for shipping.  Search the Internet for coupons mentioning free shipping for the website you are buying from.  Or, visit a site like www.freeshipping.org.
Do you have any “free” tips for us?  Leave them below in the comments, or post them to our Facebook wall.  Your CashNetUSA family knows everything in life is not always free, and sometimes you need a short-term, online payday loan from some fast cash.  We are always here to help.

More CashNetUSA Money Saving Tips

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

One of our CashNetUSA teammates slashed his cell phone plan minutes and has been smiling about how much money he is saving each month.  This got us talking about small money saving tips that your CashNetUSA friends are doing that are saving them big money.  Here are some of our favorites.

  • Sell, Sell, Sell: We have belongings we do not use anymore, or have never used.  Your CashNetUSA family even admits it! These personal belongings can sit around for a lifetime, or are thrown out.  My mother always said, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Have a yard sale, or sell them on the Internet, someone is willing to put money in your pocket!
  • Cancel Your Land Line:  Who uses a “land line” anymore?  Land lines are becoming as outdated as the phone booth. Unless you are Superman, you probably are not using a phone booth, and odds are you also not using your land line. Why pay for something you don’t use?  Use your cell phone, lose the land line.
  • Lose Your Gym and the Fat:  No one needs a gym to work out.  Save the money you spend at the gym and work out at home.  Purchase free weights at a local sporting goods store, or find some used equipment on the web.  A little money upfront can save you a lot of money down the road.
  • Cancel Cable:  This was hard for a couple of your CashNetUSA friends to handle. We are big TV fans.  Before you cancel everything, decide what shows and channels you watch, then find them online.  You’ll realize that most, if not all, can be watched on the Internet.  Why pay for two services that accomplish the same thing?

Your CashNetUSA family knows the small expenses can add up.  Try some of the tips above, or add your “two cents” by sending us suggestions of your own.  We would love to hear them.  Remember, if you are ever in need of help with those “little” expenses, we love providing cash advances with a short-term, online payday loan.

Love Your Pet, and Save Money

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Fetch

Your CashNetUSA family loves our pets as much as we love giving online payday loans.  Our pets are a daily discussion around the office, and are also a big, but loving, expense.  In order to save you money, our team members put together a list of the best money saving animal care tips.  We know you won’t “howl” at our advice below.

  • Become a Member – Most local pet stores offer special savings for signing up to become a member.  Once you’re a member, make sure to check your email regularly, as some pet stores send out additional sales to their members.
  • Super Stores, Happy Pets – Shop the super stores with your super pet.  Just like with the “big box” stores, everything can be bought in bulk.  Stock up on food, toys, and comforts for your best friend while keeping you bank account fat.
  • The Internet is also for Pets – Bookmark the webpage of your pet’s favorite food as most companies have discounts on their website.  Also, other large pet sites offer daily promotions on medications, food, or grooming.
  • Back to School – Visit a veterinary school instead of a veterinarian for minor surgeries, vaccinations, and dental care.  Some veterinary schools can save you up to half the cost of your normal veterinarian bill.  Use that extra money to buy your pet something special after being so brave during their vet visit.

Your CashNetUSA family loves our pets just as much as you do.  We just wanted to share some money saving tips to help you and your best (non human) friend.  We are in the business of helping you through stressful financial times with online, short-term, payday loans.  Your CashNetUSA family is always here to offer financial tips, or cash fast with a payday loan when you need it.

Funny Stories of a Personal Saver

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

Your CashNetUSA team had a lot of fun with this post.  We were asked about the most outrageous money saving tips we have ever used.  Trust us, there was a lot of laughs at the “expense” of saving money (we couldn’t resist a corny joke).  Check out our top three wild money saving tips, and the stories behind them.

  • Don’t Shower – Well, don’t stop showering altogether, but stop showering regularly.  Save money on your water bill while making your bathroom products last longer.  Your CashNetUSA team member, Dorian, went three weeks without showering regularly.  When asked for comment, he said his water bill was “significantly lower, but I would rather not try it again…  It was a college bet.  I won and saved some money!”
  • Stop Shaving – This suggestion is as “hairy” as it sounds.  Our team member Keith has not shaved in nine months (don’t worry, he’s in a band).  Keith said that not shaving has saved him “over $250 so far… My beard is thick, so I was always buying razors and shaving cream…  It keeps me warm in the winter.  Plus, my wife likes it.  Everyone is happy.”
  • Live Without Heat or Airconditioning – Our CashNetUSA team member, Colleen, uncomfortably tried this for a full year while saving money for a house.  ”My winter was spent wrapped in blankets, but I had a savings goal in mind.  The money I saved each month helped keep me going.”  If you can through it out like Colleen, your growing bank account will keep you comfortable.

Although these stories were fun to share (and write about), it shows how everyone is willing to save money in extreme ways.  Unfortunately, no matter how much we save, life can always throw you an unwanted expense.  As you can see from above, your CashNetUSA family knows how this feels.  We are always here to help when you need fast cash with an online, short-term, payday loan.  We can help you get started, right here.

Saving Money While Spending Money

Monday, August 16th, 2010

If your CashNetUSA family said that you would spend over 50% of your lifetime earnings in just five areas of your life, would you call us crazy?  Trust us on this, we are here to help you save money even when you are spending money.  The five areas we will discuss are your home, car, children, education, and retirement.

  • Your Home – A question a lot of people fail to ask themselves while buying a home is, how much “home” can they actually afford?  As a general guideline, you should not purchase a home more than three times your annual household income.  Be aware that buying a house is not just one price tag; you will have annual costs such as upkeep and property taxes to consider.
  • Your Car – Much like your house, your car has reoccurring expenses.  Most people can afford a car 1/3 of their annual income.  Your CashNetUSA family does not want you “driving” yourself into debt.
  • Your Children – You love your children, but be careful to not overindulge them.  According to this Yahoo! Finance story, “the Dept. of Agriculture estimates it will cost $220,000 to raise a child born in 2008 from diapers to age 18.”  That figure does not even factor college!
  • Your Education – How high is too high of an education?   According to Yahoo! Finance, “Don’t take on more in total education debt than you think you are going to earn on average annually during your first 10 years after graduating (from college or grad school).”
  • Your Retirement –Figure out how much money you need to retire with by starting with the end in mind. A good reference is to multiply your current annual income by 25. It is never too early to start saving.

Your CashNetUSA family wants you to know that you can still save money even when you have to spend it.  Life can come quickly with unexpected expenses, that’s why we are here to help you out with a short-term, online payday loan.  You can get started here.

Hey Big Spender…

Monday, August 9th, 2010

One of your CashNetUSA family members overspent at the grocery store this weekend.  How did a quick trip to the store for cereal and milk cost fifty dollars?  We won’t tell you who, but he may be writing this very post to remind himself, and others, the top reasons we overspend.

  • Paper or Plastic? – According to the post “8 Top Reasons You Overspend,” consumer spending rises when paying with a credit card.  “Credit cards allow consumers to focus more on what they’re getting, or buying, than what they’re losing, or spending,” Kit Yarrow, a professor of psychology and marketing at Golden Gate University.
  • Bulking Up – Buying in bulk may sound like a good idea, but buyer beware.  Buying in bulk can increase your grocery budget, while allowing you to increase consumption.  The next thing you know, you’re back at the store buying more expensive bulk items.
  • Shopping Without a List – Knowing exactly what you need causes you to stick to your budget.  Your CashNetUSA family member could have used a list this weekend!
  • Dieting – If you are new to dieting, you can actually be hurting you wallet.  Sometimes, dieting can cause weak will power, causing you to overspend.    Kathleen Vohs, a marketing professor at the University of Minnesota says that when on a diet, “people are less able to restrain their impulses, so whatever they are tempted to do — like spend on needless trinkets — will emerge.”

No one is perfect; we all overspend at some point.  Follow some of the advice listed above to stay on the right track.  No one loves teaching people to save money more than your short-term loan CashNetUSA family.

Back To School Money Savers

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

The most wonderful time of the year (for parents) is quickly approaching.  The kids are going back to school.  Unfortunately, that peace and quiet comes with a “price.”  Your friends at CashNetUSA have discovered some great tips from Frugaldad.com to save you some money during the annual “back to school” shopping trip.

1)   “Clean Your Room.” – That’s right, a chore before the chore of shopping.  Have your child help while organizing their room.  If everything is in the right place, you are less likely to end up buying something they already have.

2)   Give Back – Remember all the cleaning you just did?  Give away those old clothes at a Salvation Army or Goodwill.  Or best of all, sell them to a “resale shop” to earn cash before the “back to school” trip.

3)   A Family Affair – Take your children with you while shopping.  You will discover they are helpful when it comes to school supplies.  You kids will save you time and money buy telling you what they need (and like) for school.

4)   Avoid Labels – Designer clothes carry a big price tag.  Don’t get caught up in the moment and shop around.  Chances are you will find something similar in style, but not in price.

5)   Wait – If you can, wait a couple days until after school starts.  You are more likely to find better sales on all your supplies.

Your CashNetUSA family just picked out their five favorite tips.  Check out more at Frugaldad.com.  As “back to school” season approaches, remember, if you need a short-term online payday loan to help ease your burden, CashNetUSA is always available.

The Rules of Food Club

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Your CashNetUSA family has found a very creative way to save money on your grocery bill. Start a food club. Sometimes it “pays” to get creative with your most basic expense in life.  Follow the steps below for advice on how to start your own club and take advantage of buying in bulk.

  • Spread the word – What is the point of having a great party if you don’t send out invitations?  Ask family, friends, and neighbors about joining.  Start with a group of at least five families and add more if necessary to get the best value.
  • Compare Shopping Lists –  Everyone drinks milk, but everyone may not drink fat free milk.  Also, make sure to track how much the items on your list normally cost.   That way you can find better savings in the future.
  • Club Duties – The leader of the club should designate roles to members.  Such as shopping, delivery, and clean up.  According to Mint.com, “Once the food is purchased, the group will have to decide where it will be stored … split up [and] delivered.  If there are perishable items like fruit or meat, the group may decide pick up has to be right after the shopping spree.”
  • Have Fun – Your food club should not be a chore.  Arrange potlucks and share recipes.  The more fun everyone has making friends, the longer your club (and money) will last.

Food is the most basic necessity, and expense, in life.  Your CashNetUSA family not only helps you out with online payday loans; we also want to help you save money in all parts of life.

The Money Talk

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Money.  It should be considered an emotion. One word that makes every person react differently.  This powerful emotion of money takes on greater meaning once you are in a serious relationship.  To help you out, your CashNetUSA family has found some great tips from Mint.com to help you and your significant other have the “money talk.”

  • Nobody is perfect – My father would always say, “If you point a finger at someone, there are always three fingers pointing back at you.”  Make sure your spouse understands that you are not perfect.  Mint.com says, “If you can take your fair share of the blame and ask for help working on your weaknesses, you’ll have a much easier time pointing out the things your spouse needs to do better.”
  • Focus on the “why,” not the “why not”- New car? Retiring early?  College tuition?  Those are specific goals and reasons WHY you are having this tough conversation.  Stop talking about what you can’t do because you’re saving money, focus on what you are going to do.
  • Don’t let other topics creep in – Stay on topic.  Mint.com says, “Comments about your lavish nights out on the town might reveal hatred for one particular friend…  Those feelings should be put aside.”

Talking about money with your spouse should never be a bad thing, although it often is.  Having the “money talk” will not only help you out financially, but also have a positive impact on your relationship.
